The Hits

Picture

One of the most influential music decades in the modern era. From the days when
British invasion bands created icons of pioneering rock ‘n’ roll musicians
through the time late in the decade when Woodstock made peace and love the theme
of the day.  The show combines two distinct wardrobe and costume
themes from the clean, slick suits in the early years to the uninhibited
flower-children that dominated the late 60s.

We‘ve packed in hits from The Beatles, Monkees, Rolling
Stones and the like, to more rhythm & blues styling of Stevie Wonder and
other such artists of the time, to the singer-songwriting standards of Bob
Dylan, Van Morrison and many others.

This set includes two primary musical genres that created an endless stream of
hits that will keep any audience movin’ and groovin’.
Arena rock stars of the time provided stripped-down,
guitar-driven styles like those of Cheap Trick, The Eagles, and Aerosmith. The
Hitmen’s wardrobe will take your audience back to this bygone era.

The second genre was an undeniable hit-making force and
it is everyone’s first guilty pleasure - DISCO.  The Hitmen will make the
audience shake, shake, shake their booty with all the hits from The Bee Gees,
Jackson 5, KC & The Sunshine Band and so many more.  A full disco wardrobe
to match the hits, makes this one of our most popular sets that is sure to “get
the party started.”

The band’s musical journey ends here in the 1980s. First, The Hitmen take you
through the “early 80s” experience, a time when the term New Wave provided a
trademark look and sound.
Rick Springfield, The Romantics, B-52s, and Dexy’s
Midnight Runners and a long list of others provide timeless hits that keep
audiences wanting more.  The Hitmen will look and feel like you are back to the
days when MTV made appearance as important (or maybe more) than the music
itself.

And if your heart desires, The Hitmen will end with a
musical wallop that is the second guilty pleasure - Hair Metal.  These bands
coined the phrase “power ballad” and everyone hums along (like it or not); JRH
will rock out in big hair and wild outfits to go along with their catchy
pop-rock tunes.
